Corrie fans predict horrifying plot twist for Daniel after Phelan dealings

We all know not to mess with Phelan - but it seems Daniel doesn't...

Coronation Street viewers were left fearing for Daniel Osbourne after Wednesday’s double bill when he started snooping around and asking questions about Pat Phelan.

Big mistake, mate, really big.

Because we all know Phelan has had someone who also went up against him locked in a cellar for the past nine months. And now fans are predicting Daniel could well be joining Andy Carver in his dark, dank existence.

Monday’s episode had seen Daniel get a whiff of a big story for his newspaper after being bored with little articles with no substance or excitement.

He’d found out all about Pat’s Calcutta Street flat-building scam, which left him hungry for the story.

After getting some details off Nicola Rubenstein about her dad’s involvement – which she believes to be entirely innocent – Daniel headed off to Phelan’s derelict building (where he’s holding Andy hostage).

Pat was put out, but tried to keep his cool as Daniel asked question after question about Calcutta Street. It wasn’t long before Phelan was clearly rattled.

Daniel was pretty confident as he continued to pressure the builder, with Pat dropping himself in it by revealing Anna Windass had serious beef with him.

So off Daniel toddled to Anna’s where she told him: “It doesn’t pay to go delving around in that man’s business, and if Michael was alive he’d tell you the same thing.”

He then found himself heading off in Todd’s direction, who played a blinder and told Daniel he was barking up the wrong tree – all the while, Pat was listening from behind a closed door.

With Daniel getting increasingly closer to the truth, and seemingly not even one little bit afraid of Phelan, the bully-boy builder’s going to have to silence him quick.

The Corrie autumn promo showed Pat with a gun, and many believe that he’ll shoot Daniel.

But now a terrifying new theory has come to light – that he’ll lock Daniel in the basement with Andy…

Seriously, he’s struggling with one prisoner – how many more people can he hide in there?!

And Daniel might look a bit puny and pathetic, but let’s not forget, he pushed his own father down the stairs and covered up his crime for months.

We’ve seen he’s got a temper when he took on Chesney too, so perhaps Pat really has met his match in the intrepid reporter…
