Fans took to social media to say how brilliantly they thought Jack’s amputation storyline was being portrayed after the schoolboy had his foot removed after contracting sepsis.

But while they heaped their praise on the soap, others were trying to work out how the show made his amputated foot look so real…

There were plenty of theories flying around, such as holes in the bed for actor Kyran Bowes to put his own leg through, and the use of a prosthetic leg.

Despite the intrigue about the cleaver costume and special effects departments at the soap, the storyline will continue to move fans as Kevin faces the devastating job of telling Jack that he has had a foot removed.
