Corrie fans in bits ahead of next week’s shocking scenes

It's all getting too much...

Coronation Street viewers were struggling to cope after last night’s double bill saw Aidan Connor struggling to cope in the run up to next week’s shocking scenes that will see the character take his own life.

Fans watched as Aidan gave away his belongings, knowing that he’s planning to end his life without telling a single soul.

But as Coronation Street gears up for yet another ground-breaking storyline as it tackles the taboo subject of male suicide, fans took to social media in their droves to share their heartbreak at what is to come in the soap next week…

As Aidan gave little Liam his expensive watch and treated Summer to a shopping spree, fans couldn’t bear the thought that this was Aidan’s way of saying goodbye to those he cares for.

Maria found the watch in Liam’s pocket, and was bemused at how something so expensive had got there. Little does she know it is a parting gift for her son.

While Aidan might have been all smiles as he chatted with the likes of Maria and Billy last night, behind his cheery exterior, fans knew that he was hiding his anguish from the world.
