Coronation Street’s Cath Tyldesley is ‘excited’ as she starts auditioning for new roles

We're gonna piggin' miss Eva though

Corrie star Catherine Tyldesley has started auditioning for new roles since quitting the famous cobbles.

According to The Sun Online the actress who’s played Eva Price for seven years has started auditioning for new jobs and is said to be ‘excited’ about it.

The website claims a source revealed: “Cath has made no secret of the fact she wants to spread her wings a bit more.

“She loves Corrie and playing Eva but it was time to get back out there as a jobbing actress.”

The insider added: “She’s started reading scripts and auditioning for new drama roles and it’s a really exciting time for her.”

It was revealed in November that Cath would be leaving the ITV soap later this year.

She’s currently involved in a huge storyline as Eva plans to hand the unborn baby she’s carrying to Toyah Battersby.

Eva is pregnant with ex-boyfriend Aidan Connor’s baby but so far only her and Toyah know – despite Eva’s baby bump getting huger by the minute.

She also had to break up with new boyfriend Adam Barlow to keep her baby secret.

Adam – Sam Robertson – returned to Coronation Street this week and Eva had to give him the brush off again.

But Corrie boss Kate Oates revealed that Adam would be heavily involved with Eva’s exit story.

Kate told Digital Spy: “He’ll be very involved in the Eva story, because he loves her.

“I really love Adam, actually. I think the way that character has evolved since Sam arrived on the show has been really positive and really good.”
