Jim Moir’s Coronation Street exit: Will Moira Pollock join him?

Who's hot-footing it out of Weatherfield?

| Updated:

It looks like Coronation Street could be airing a double exit next week as Colin Callen asks newly-single Moira Pollock to leave Weatherfield with him.

Colin is off as actor Jim Moir’s (better known as Vic Reeves) guest stint on the show has come to an end – but how will he go?

And will he take Moira with him?

But there’s a bit of drama still to come for Colin before he departs, when he becomes convinced that Norris Cole is his dad. Stick with us here.

When Colin learns that Norris visited Darlington is 1961, he starts putting two and two together and comes to the conclusion that Norris is his biological father.

Then he overhears that Norris is due to have a blood test at the medical centre and puts a plan together.

He gives Moira a DNA testing kit and pleads with her to use it on Norris’ sample and help him discover the truth.

After being annoyed that Colin is asking her to risk her job, Moira forgives him and the pair end up spending the night together. Saucy.

Colin then asks her to join him in Stoke-on-Trent. Will the offer appeal to Moira who would no doubt relish a fresh start after her split from her husband.

And will Colin find out if he is the fruit of Norris Cole’s loins?

Jim joined the cast back in July and initially bonded with Norris and Mary Taylor as they pretended to be a married couple to win a radio competition.

He said of the role at the time: “I’ve been a lifelong fan of Corrie. In fact, I think I saw the very first one.

“I try not to miss any episodes. I’m really looking forward to acting in Corrie. It’s a real thrill to be part of a British Institution.”
