Corrie’s Todd Grimshaw exits as Pat Phelan’s next victim?

He's set to leave before Christmas

Corrie’s Todd Grimshaw is leaving the soap in dramatic scenes on Christmas Eve.

And according to the Metro.co.uk it could be the last we see of his character forever…

They’re predicting that he could become the next victim of his murderous stepdad, Pat Phelan.

Todd is the only person who knows some of Phelan’s crimes – especially over the flat development scam, but even he doesn’t know the true extent of what his mum’s husband is capable of.

Phelan was holding Andy Carver hostage in a derelict house for nine months, before he shot him a few weeks ago after forcing Andy to kill Vinny Ashford.

With two bodies already under his belt, it’s already been claimed by a report in the Daily Star that Phelan could kill up to four more people before his time on the cobbles is done.

And now speculation is rife Todd could be one of them.

Actor Bruno Langley was recently axed from the show following allegations of sexual assault and they had to come up with a quick exit for him.

Apparently, in an upcoming scene, Todd will discover Vinny’s belongings and prepare to confront the bad boy builder over exactly what’s happened to his former business partner.

But now he’s got a taste for murder, will Pat decide the quickest – and easiest – way to get rid of Todd’s probing questions is to off him too?

Or will Todd’s exit this festive season be something slightly less sinister – perhaps Phelan will hold him hostage for most of next year instead of Andy?

Or just maybe, Todd will team up with Anna Windass to bring Pat down once and for all.

Phelan’s arch-enemy Anna is leaving the cobbles as well after 10 years, but how she goes is also a closely guarded secret.

We’re pretty sure that however both Anna and Todd depart, dastardly Phelan will be wrapped up in it somehow…
