Coronation Street SPOILER: Rapist Josh returns to Weatherfield

But it's not what you think...

David Platt hoped he’s seen the back of Josh Tucker for good – and so did Coronation Street fans.

But the vile rapist is set to show his face in Weatherfield again.

And his return will bring a mixture of emotions for victim David.

Josh was last seen leaving the cobbles after David told his family and Alya Nazir what he’d done to him.

In traumatic scenes shown earlier this year, Josh drugged and raped David (off-screen), leaving David a broken man.

Viewers watched in distress as the Platt favourite battled his demons alone, before eventually revealing the truth to girlfriend Shona.

With the support of those around him, he then had the courage to report the attack to the police.

However, with no forensic evidence, they released Josh without charge.

The Sun Online now reveals that actor Ryan Clayton will make a return as Josh later in the year.

An insider told the newspaper’s website: “Josh’s return isn’t going to be anything what fans would expect.

“When he left Weatherfield he planned to leave for good, but in Corrie things don’t always go to plan and it won’t necessarily be his choice to return.”

In a shocking twist, the report says that it’s David who brings the rapist back.

The source continues: “David doesn’t want Josh to get away with what he’s done.

“The police couldn’t prove anything but that’s not going to stop David from trying to stop Josh himself.”

We’re also told that reformed vicar Billy Mayhew will have a part to play in David’s plan.

Corrie bosses have promised Josh will face justice of sorts, although it won’t be in the legal sense.
