Coronation Street SPOILER: Drama for favourite couple as they hit rock bottom this Christmas

Get ready for an unexpected plot twist

Fiz Stape and Tyrone Dobbs are facing marriage woes this Christmas in a surprsing new storyline that sees them clash over their daughters.

Despite usually being a united front when it comes to their kids, the couple clash when Tyrone suddenly realises that Fiz doesn’t treat their two daughters the same.

This latest twist is set to be the start of a huge new storyline for the pair that will see them into next year.

The clash, which happens on our screens next week, starts when Hope has an accident on the girls’ trampoline in their back garden.

Fiz is fuming that her little girl is hurt and quickly blames Ruby for the injury.

Tyrone is incredulous when Fiz then goes on to suggest that Ruby, who isn’t her own flesh and blood, might have inherited her biological mum’s violent streak.

Tyrone’s ex, Kirsty, who is Ruby’s birth mum, left Tyrone terrified of her violent outbursts in a now infamous Corrie storyline that focused on domestic abuse between the pair.

Fiz’s outburst leaves Tyrone wondering if she secretly favours Hope over Ruby – planting the seed of doubt in his mind.

But the drama doesn’t end there. Later that day the trampoline, and scene of Hope’s accident, is mysteriously set on fire.

Fiz is in the back yard with Liz and Beth when she sees smoke billowing from the children’s toy… and her initial reaction is to blame Beth after she earlier made some snide remarks about the trampoline.

The two women might not have seen eye to eye recently, but it seems that Fiz might be barking upon the wrong tree when it becomes clear than one of her daughters is responsible for the incident.

This latest drama just makes things worse for Fiz and Tyrone as accusations fly and the pair hit rock bottom with their arguing.

As Kirst’s violent past is mentioned, Tyrone fights back – reminding Fiz that Hope’s dad, John Stape, was a serial killer and even more deranged than Kirsty.

It seems both girls could have easily inherited some dodgy genes.

Can Fiz and Tyrone resolve their bitter feud before the festive season?

Corrie’s producer Kate Oates has revealed to Digital Spy, “We’re going to have some nice stuff for Fiz and Tyrone next year.

“I think what’s going to be interesting with those two is that they’re a very loving and committed couple and they both love each other’s children, but they are not the natural parents to each other’s children.

“So if Ruby does something bad, how does Fiz feel about that? And if Hope does something bad, how does Tyrone feel about that?

“In modern blended families, sometimes there are different responses, ” she continued.

“I’m looking forward to exploring that, because even though they’re very committed, that can cause problems.”
