Coronation Street’s Daniel Osbourne is set to have a passionate new romance in the New Year and it’s looking like the lady in question could be CARLA CONNOR.
We know, we wouldn’t have bookish Daniel down as her type either.

According to reports unlucky in love Daniel is set to have his heart healed after Sinead Tinker marries Chesney Brown, by enjoying a steamy fling with a returning character.
Corrie’s big boss, Kate Oates, told The Sun: “She’s unexpected, I think that people will go, ‘Oh! That’s a slightly crazy pairing!’.
“It’s one of those slightly unusual dynamics. If you think about it you can see what each of them is getting out of the relationship, but on paper you might think ‘oh that’s a surprise’.”
She added: “I would encourage viewers who are wrong-footed by it – in a way that they are uncomfortable with it – to think about what each character might be getting out of this fling.
“Then it will hopefully make more sense.”
Well, it would be quite obvious what Daniel would be getting out of the relationship – Carla is way out of his league, but what would she be getting?
Daniel is her ex-husband, Peter Barlow’s, half-brother so by having an affair with him would really be rubbing Peter’s nose in it.
Peter and Carla were married in 2014 while Peter was having a secret affair with Tina McIntyre.
Carla’s no stranger to targetting a toy-boy lover either. After her relationship with Peter broke down, she set her sights on hunky mechanic Luke Britton.
The pair shared a drunken kiss in front of a jealous Peter and Carla took Luke back to her flat. But she was left feeling humiliated when Luke left without sealing the deal.
