Coronation Street actress Bhavna Limbachia has teased Kana fans by hinting there could be a wedding on the cards for her character Rana Nazir and love interest Kate Connor.
Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk, Bhavna said: “I think Rana and Kate have been through so much together in the last year.

“All of those obstacles to be together over the last year has made them so tight and strong as a couple so it would be nice to see it all through and be together – and maybe get married one day!”
Rana has some big drama coming up next week when her family try to trick her into taking a one-way flight to Pakistan when the truth about her and Kate finally comes out.
Alya Nazir walks in on them – and is shocked to discover that everyone apart from her seems to know about it.
Bhavna went on to say: “What’s great about the way that Kate Oates has told this story is that we have played it in real time.
“The relationship with Kate and Rana has developed over a year and I think that’s what has made people really invest in the storyline.”
People have certainly invested in the storyline with Kana being a hugely popular soap ship up there with the legendary Robron.
Last week Bhavna revealed how the relationship between Rana and Kate has saved lives by raising awareness and starting conversations within the Asian community.
She told The Sun Online: “I’ve had quite a few people contacting me in quite a vulnerable state and I’ve been lucky that I’ve been able to put them onto the Naz and Matt Foundation, a charity who tackle homophobia triggered by religion.
“And we’ve had some success stories.”
She added: “Working with them, the Naz and Matt Foundation and communicating with the founder of the charity, Matt Ogston who sadly lost his fiance, Nazim Mahmood.

“His parents wouldn’t accept who he was and he sadly took his life. However, doing this storyline and raising awareness is sparking conversation, which is what we want.”
