There’s no doubt that Nicola is already regretting the day she discovered her father is Pat Phelan.
But she will definitely be questioning her decision to return to Weatherfield to help bring about his downfall next week.
The expectant mum collapses and, fearful for her unborn child, is taken to to hospital.
She faces an agonising wait to learn if there is any problem with her pregnancy.
But, whatever the outcome from doctors’ tests, she is not out of the woods as Phelan turns up – and he is onto her…
It remains to be seen whether Pat Phelan has any limits at all when it comes to protecting himself and his freedom.
Is he really capable of harming his own flesh and blood?
The evil builder is certainly on the warpath when he acts on his suspicions that Nicola is double-crossing him – and discovers Seb hiding out at her flat after stealing her keys and making a copy.
He calls the police and has the lad arrested, but before Gary has the opportunity to warn his baby mamma that the nasty Scouser is onto them, Nicola is rushed to hospital with stomach pains.

Nicola is laid out in bed, already frightened for the safety of her child, when she is confronted by her old man.

Exec producer Kate Oates has teased that Phelan’s downfall story will heavily feature Nicola, and fans are already worried he will do away with her.
“Omg catching up on @itvcorrie and Phelan is always in the right place at the the right time! So I doubt it’s gonna be Nicola who brings him down but would he kill his own daughter? #Phelan,” worried one fan on Twitter.
“So if the rumors are true & Phelan is going to kill Nicola @nicolathorp then I need to go to the Corrie gates & get her autograph asap,” said another, while a third wrote: “So now I’m thinking Phelan will kill (or at least try to kill) Nicola and Gary so he and Eileen can bring up the baby?”
Phelan’s demise will be coming in the next few months, with reports that his wife Eileen bumps him off on holiday after bodies are discovered back in Weatherfield.

Sue Cleaver (Eileen) and Connor McIntyre (Phelan) have been spotted filming on location in Whitehaven.
