Corrie fans have been left thinking the worst after a dramatic cliffhanger involving psychopath Pat Phelan.
The murderous husband of poor Eileen turned the tables on his captor Gary Windass and set out on a revenge-seeking rampage in Weatherfield…
And fans believe Nicola and baby Zack are in mortal danger.
The episode (Wednesday 30 May) started well… With Pat still tied to a chair and unable to escape.
In fact, in tantalisingly tense scenes, the horrible man spent most of the half hour trying to get himself untied to the chair.

But when Gary let it slip that Pat has a grandson, Pat became determined to free himself.
With viewers unable to imagine Pat enjoying a touching reunion with Zack, they were left to jump to more sinister conclusions…
Managing to break the bonds that tied him, Pat bounced a chair off the top of Gary’s head, sending him crashing to the floor.
Later appearing with a gun, Gary and Sarah’s faces said it all. B. L. E. E. P.

Demanding to see Nicola and Zack, he forced Sarah to make the call…
And fans now believe the mother and son might be Pat’s next victims.

Some even predicted that Pat would kidnap baby Zack and take him hostage.
Tonight’s episode starts with Gary and Sarah now hostages themselves and Pat armed with a gun… It’s not going to end well, is it?
