Corrie’s Pat Phelan to meet his end as Eileen pushes him off a cliff

Washed out to sea... or lucky save?

Phelan haters, rejoice! The Corrie killer is soon to meet is maker, and he will be given a helping hand – SHOVE – to the other side from wife Eileen.

Corrie boss Kate Oates teased this week that Phelan would definitely be getting his comeuppance this year and that his missus would deliver his downfall.

Now The Sun is reporting that she will push the psycho killer off a cliff once she discovers the full extent of his nefarious deeds.

The tabloid claims that, in scenes to be filmed next week, the truth outs when the couple go to the coast for a break.

While they are there, the bodies of Phelan’s victims are discovered back in Manchester.

When word reaches Eileen, she and her husband have a clifftop confrontation – handily enough – and, as Phelan lunges at his missus, she pushes him over.

The evil killer is lost at sea, presumed dead.

PRESUMED dead? So no body…? So does that mean the soap might leave the door open for the villain to reappear at some point?

Imagine how terrifying it will be for everyone, never having the security of knowing 100% he’s gone! Genius…

The Sun’s source says of the death rumours: “Phelan’s murderous ways will finally be revealed while he and Eileen are on a mini-break.

“But while they’re there the police find the bodies at his building site and Liz tells Eileen about everything.”

The denouement to one of the soap’s most controversial storylines ever is set to play out on screen this spring.

Mikey North – who plays Gary Windass – told This Morning earlier this week that Phelan’s reign of terror was set to continue for several months before he would finally be taken down.

He told them: “I’m not sure it’s set in stone how Phelan’s demise will happen.

“I know it’s the beginning of the end but there’s still a few more months to run.”

He also addressed criticism from some fans that Phelan’s time on the cobbles was going on too long.

“All I can say on the matter is the viewing figures are higher than they have been for the last couple of years, ” he added.

“People might be switching off but they’re also switching on. People are talking about it and that’s what Corrie wants.”

Entertainment Daily contacted Coronation Street press office about the latest Phelan reports, who said: “We don’t comment on story speculation.”
