Coronation Street killer Pat Phelan lines up his next victim

Surely he couldn't be so cruel?

| Updated:

Pat Phelan has finally been found out. Well, at least, some of his evil deeds have been revealed, thanks to brave Tim Metcalfe.

But does this mean the crafty cabbie could be Phelan’s next victim? It definitely looks that way.

In Wednesday’s episode. Tim was determined to get Pat to confess some of his sins. He saw his chance when he had the criminal in the back of his cab.

Bravely he confronted the brazen builder.

“In no particular order,” he said. “Anna. Michael. Luke. And Calcutta Street.”

Phelan managed to bluff his way out of all of the accusations, but he confessed that Calcutta Street was a scam.

“I ripped them off,” he told Tim.

But Tim was on the radio to the cab office the whole time Phelan had been talking – and Eileen heard everything.

Tim told her he was going to the police, and a stunned Eileen asked for the chance to talk to her husband first.

But when she did confront him – furious about what he’d done – he managed to convince her AGAIN that he was innocent.

“You used my son’s money to rip off my friends,” Eileen said.

But Phelan said: “Vinny ripped us off. I had an inkling it wasn’t legit.”

And then he dropped the biggest lie of them all.

“I’m no murderer,” he said. “I’m not even a crook. I’m a fool for love.”

WHAT?!

Eileen fled to Liz’s, and then headed to the police station to report her husband. But it wasn’t long before Phelan had tracked her down and was begging her to reconsider.

And now fans are convinced Phelan could take revenge on Tim.

“Think Tim will be Phelan’s next victim,” said one viewer.

“Tim is still in danger, then?” said another fan.

With Tim having dragged Phelan out of the wet concrete earlier in the week and saved the murderer’s life, it seems pretty harsh for him to be his next victim.

But we all know how evil Pat can be – and we’ve got a horrible feeling Tim needs to watch his back in tonight’s Coronation Street (ITV at 7.30pm and 8.30pm)
