Ryan Thomas addresses rumors of Jason Grimshaw’s return to Coronation Street

Ryan Thomas reveals all

It’s the question that Ryan Thomas can’t escape – is Jason Grimshaw coming back to the cobbles to bring down Pat Phelan?

Whether it is the press asking during interviews or fans stopping Ryan in the street – it’s the question on everyone’s lips.

With Phelan’s reign of terror coming to an end – someone, somewhere, is surely going to be the one to put the final nail in his coffin. But will it be Jason?

There have been rumours everywhere that Pat is potentially going to meet a particularly gruesome end when his time comes – but lots of people have been wondering if it might be Eileen Grimshaw who finally puts an end to the serial killer.

However, we caught up with Ryan recently to find out whether maybe Jason could be the one to come back to Corrie to defend his mum…

“It’s so nice to be reminded that I’ve come from the cobbles, but if I look backwards, I’m not concentrating on my journey in front of me.

“That’s why I left in the first place, for new experiences and new jobs. If I was to think about going back to Corrie, then I wouldn’t be concentrating on what I left to do in the first place.

“Never say never, but it’s not something that I’m thinking about right now.”

Hmm, so that doesn’t sound too promising. However, Ryan did admit that he knows Phelan’s been up to no good since Jason left.

“Sue Cleaver (who plays Eileen) rang me and told me she’d been working really hard. It’s so bad to say this, but I’ve not watched Corrie for so long now. The only time I watch it is at my mum’s house, because she’ll have it on.

“But I know that there’s something going on with Phelan, because everyone keeps coming up to me asking: ‘When are you going to come back and get rid of that Phelan?’

“So he’s obviously doing something wrong, because people keep telling me to come back and sort him out. That’s as much as I know about it at the moment as I’ve been so busy.”
