Coronation Street has confirmed that poor Tyrone Dobbs will find out his mother has died next week, with the release of a preview.
Ty is with Fiz, desperately trying to get back on track with her, when there’s a knock at the door: the police!
They break the news that Tyrone’s mum Jackie has passed away.

Jackie was played by Liverpudlian actress Margi Clarke, from 1998, when she was introduced as Deirdre’s cellmate during that spell she did for fraud (which she was completely innocent of!).
She was last seen in 2010, when Tyrone sent her packing over being mean to his wife Molly.

Hopefully this piece of devastating news will put things into perspective for Ty and Fiz, who are currently separated after his one-night stand with Gemma.

Audrey’s frenemy Claudia returns, with a proposition for Maria, who Audrey recently fired from the salon.
Leanne and Toyah Battersby, meanwhile are upset by a letter from sister Eva.
