Corrie fans are shipping a new couple in Weatherfield after a brief encounter left them wanting more!
On Wednesday night (2 May), viewers watched with eyes popping out of their heads as Angie Appleton surprised everyone – not least herself – when she kissed Adam Barlow.
And while he kissed her back at first, he forced himself to pull away as he remembered that she’s married.
Angie found herself heading to Adam’s office after discovering that her husband Jude had carried out the mother of all deceits – and lied to her for TWO YEARS about his profession.
After an elaborate dinner party with his ‘colleagues’ – actually (very bad, but very funny) actors – the truth spilled out about Jude’s web of lies.
Marine biologist? Nope. Big fat liar? Yes!
Ever since they met, Jude has been lying about his job to now-wife Angie. At first, he did it to impress her, but then it became an albatross around his neck.
And, after getting sacked from his actual job in the marine life centre gift shop, the horrible truth tumbled out.
Poor Angie was devastated that her husband could have kept up the pretence for so long.
Upset, she first tries to contact her friend Toyah – who is otherwise engaged with Eva’s new baby (and that’s another web of lies altogether).

So Angie ends up drinking whisky with Adam – and there’s no denying the chemistry in the room between them.
After telling Adam her woes, she leans in for a kiss which quickly grows more passionate…
But after the illicit clinch, Adam pulls away – mindful of the fact that Angie might not be thinking straight.

In fact, Angie ends up going back to her husband for a heart to heart – and tells him exactly what she’s just done.
Fans praised her for her honesty – but many more wanted her to carry on kissing Adam!

In terms of Jude…I'm horrid. I am completely behind Angie running off to a more exciting Adam. Jude is so ordinary and boring. I don't understand this addition to the show long term
