Coronation Street fans convinced killer Phelan does have Todd Grimshaw captive like Andy Carver

Could Todd really be in danger and has Eileen sealed his fate?

Coronation Street fans are convinced killer Pat Phelan was telling the truth about having Todd Grimshaw’s life in his hands.

Viewers watched last night as the evil builder apparently died at the hands, or feet, of wife Eileen after he confessed his awful crimes to her.

In his last moments, as he dangled on the edge off the wall, Phelan made a shocking claim that fans are convinced has changed everything.

“Please Eileen, I’m going to fall,” he begged as she watched him cling on for dear life.

“Listen to that the police are on their way, you’ve won.”

But as she refused to move to help him, he revealed an awful bit of information about Eileen’s missing son Todd.

“Eileen please, I don’t want to die love,” he said.

He added: “I know where Todd is. He’s in trouble, save me or he dies.”

Sadly for him, Eileen didn’t believe him and snapped, stamping on his feet and sending him falling into the freezing waves below.

“Liar,” she screamed at him as she watched him perish, but fans are convinced she made a terrible mistake.

One wrote: “Bet Phelan had Todd locked up somewhere and now he’s dead (allegedly) – Todd will be found dead .

“Can’t believe Todd would just leave ‘the vicar’ and Summer. Need to close off the Todd story sometime soon…”

“He said he knows where Todd is and that he is in danger. If Phelan dies, then they can’t help Todd.,” said a second.

A third added: “I’ve got a Phelan he’s not dead he’ll be back in a couple of week.

Todd hasn’t been seen on screen since last year when he fled Weatherfield to protect Summer before being forced to go on the run for attacking a police officer.

So could Phelan have had him all along?

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
