Corrie fans were left a bit baffled by Kevin Webster this week, when the soap veteran seemed to forget his geography.
His son is currently facing a devastating health battle after contracting sepsis, but that didn’t stop incredulous ITV viewers pointing out that the mechanic had made a bit of a blunder on Monday (23 July).

But it was all in good fun…
Kevin’s been having a difficult time of it recently as he’s been worried sick about his son.
Poor Jack has had a foot amputation following his shocking sepsis diagnosis.
But fans were quick to make light of the situation when they poked fun at one of Kevin’s lines.

After being told Jack was to be transferred to a rehabilitation centre in Liverpool, Kevin was horrified that his sick son was being taken so far away.
Jack’s surgeon said: “We’re proposing to have Jack transferred to a rehabilitation centre in Liverpool.”
To which Kevin responded: “Liverpool? That’s miles away. Is there nowhere closer?”
“It’s the best centre in the country,” the doctor replied. “He will receive excellent care… We can try and assist with transport.”
And fans couldn’t help having a little bit of fun with the Corrie scriptwriters, pointing out that technically Manchester and Liverpool aren’t THAT far away from each other.
One joked: “It’s not miles away Kevin, it’s only down the M62.”
Another joined in, adding: “Weatherfield’s residents once again talking about Liverpool like you need a passport and injections to visit.”

A third commented: “35 miles away to be precise, Kev. No biggie.”
To be fair, even the viewers couldn’t agree exactly how far away the city was, with one saying 38 miles, and another saying 35.
But all fans agreed that it was a short distance, especially when your unwell child is at the end of the journey…
Upcoming scenes show Kevin offer an olive branch to daughter Sophie, after previously blaming her for Jack’s condition.
Let’s hope he doesn’t travel to Spain to get the olive branch, as we all now know his geography isn’t the best!
