Celebrity MasterChef viewers staggered Rachel Stevens hasn’t aged A DAY since S Club

Shame about her cottage pie, though...

It was a case of “Hey good-looking, what you got cooking?” as Rachel Stevens made her first appearance on Celebrity MasterChef.

The former S Club 7 star was joined by a number of household names in the kitchen for last night’s heat.

Swimmer Rebecca Adlington, Radio 1 DJ Dev Griffin, Outnumbered actor Tyger Drew-Honey and Strictly contestant Debbie McGee all donned their oven gloves for the show.

But all eyes were on mother-of-two Rachel, who turns 40 in April, with stunned viewers taking to Twitter to comment on how well she’s aged.

“How is it that Rachel Stevens is nearly 40 and yet has failed to age a day since S Club 7?” wrote one fan.

“OK, what’s Rachel Stevens’ secret? Why hasn’t she aged in 10 years?” tweeted another.

And a third added: “How has Rachel Stevens frozen her face in time since 1998?”

Rachel – who has two daughters with her husband, West End actor Alex Bourne – achieved massive success as a member of S Club 7, who were put together by former Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller.

In the late Nineties and early Noughties, the group scored 11 Top Five hits in the UK, including Don’t Stop Movin, Reach, and Never Had A Dream Come True.

And although they split up in 2003, Rachel was flying high again when she appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2008.

Together with her professional dance partner Vincent Simone, she achieved the most perfect 10s in the history of the show.

She didn’t soar to quite the same heights during her Celebrity MasterChef appearance, and ran out of time when making her cottage pie, meaning she had to serve it undercooked.

Nevertheless, she wasn’t eliminated from the heat – that honour went to Tyger Drew-Honey, whose fish pie was described as a “washout” by presenters John Torode and Gregg Wallace.

Maybe he was too dazzled by Rachel’s youthful looks to concentrate on what he was doing.
