I’m A Celeb bosses take extreme measures to ensure jungle romance

Will it be Love Island mark two?

| Updated:

I’m A Celebrity bosses are reportedly hoping this year’s series will rival Love Island when it comes to jungle romances.

According to reports, the show’s producers are desperate to ensure some blossoming love among the mosquitoes and spiders – and have purposefully signed up a load of sexy single contestants to make that happen.

Ooh-er.

A source told Daily Star: “Love Island showed how much viewers love that and bosses want a slice of the action.”

So far, we’ve seen a slew of beautiful and available stars arriving at Brisbane airport including The Saturdays singer Vanessa White and ex Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas.

YouTuber Jack Maynard is also single.

Thanks to pictures of the stars arriving at the airport, it feels like the entire line-up has been revealed before the show even starts.

But insiders claim there are more famous (and single) faces lined up to cause shockwaves in the jungle who have so far managed to keep their participation secret. Hmm… for how long, though?

A source said: “There’s real excitement about the line-up. For once, a lot of the names haven’t been leaked and there are some surprises.

“Everyone behind the scenes is buzzing.”

The most famous jungle romance of all time is Katie Price and Peter Andre, who met back in 2004.

As you no doubt know, they went on to marry, have two children and become one of the most high-profile star couples in the UK – before divorcing after four years,

So any stars looking for love this time around may be hoping for a happier ending.

Other celebrities who have arrived in Brisbane ahead of this year’s jungle include Coronation Street star Jennie McAlpine, former footballer Dennis Wise, Made In Chelsea star Georgia Toffolo and boxer Amir Khan.

WAG Rebekah Vardy has been seen at Heathrow Airport, sparking rumours of her involvement.

I’m A Celebrity returns Sunday at 9pm on ITV.
