CBB star’s heartbreak after ex-boyfriend shot dead

Rapper Chinx died in drive-by shooting in New York in 2015

Celebrity Big Brother’s Malika Haqq was devastated after her former boyfriend was gunned down two years ago.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, 34, has yet to discuss the incident with her new housemates, but it was addressed in an episode of her US TV show in 2015.

A visibly distraught Malika told the cameras: “I got a call from a friend of mine who said my ex passed away. And nothing hurts me more than never being able to…”

She then broke down in tears and had to stop the filming.

Malika’s former boyfriend, rapper Chinx, was killed in a drive-by shooting in Queens, New York in May 2015. He was 31 years old.

His death was referenced in an episode of Dash Dolls, the short-lived spinoff programme that focused on the Kardashians’ fashion store and employees.

In a heartbreaking scene, a distressed Malika was seen curled up under her bed covers in tears.

She then received a phone call from best friend Khloe Kardashian who told her: “It’s hurtful and sad and sometimes you’ll cry.”

Malika’s twin sister Khadijah then told her: “You have to keep going and I think he would want that too.

“I understand how hard it is, but we can make things harder for ourselves if we don’t push or fight.”

Malika entered the Celebrity Big Brother on Tuesday night as part of the all-female launch to mark 100 years since women got the vote.

Also taking part are Corrie icon Amanda Barrie, former MP Ann Widdecombe and transgender newsreader India Willoughby.
