Bookies reveal who they think will be voted off Strictly this week

Is there another shock in store?

It’s doubtful that many people predicted last week’s shock Strictly result. Aston Merrygold sent home – who’d have thought it, eh?

And on the back of that drama, fans will be wondering if there are any more surprises to come in this weekend’s shows.

Alexandra for the chop? Maybe Debbie will end up in a dance-off?

Well, bookies don’t seem to think so – their latest odds indicate that they’re expecting one of the, ahem, less brilliant acts to be sent home on Sunday.

Betfair has placed odds of 100/1 on Ruth Langsford and Anton du Beke to win the series, making them rank outsiders.

That, in effect, means that the experts reckon it’s time to say goodbye to the This Morning presenter and her partner.

Of course, the show’s not entirely about who’s the best dancer, and Ruth and Anton have certainly provided plenty of entertainment over the past few weeks.

So maybe, just maybe, people at home will want to keep them in for another week.

They’re performing the foxtrot to Bobby Darin’s Mack the Knife this time around, so watch this space.

Debbie McGee and Giovanni Pernice are now favourites to win the competition at odds of 7/5 – hardly surprising considering they scored four perfect tens in Sunday’s show, not to mention the fact that Craig got down on his knees to salute their performance.

Alexandra Burke and Gorka Marquez are 2/1 to win, which strikes us as pretty good odds considering how polished some of their performances have been.

Former Emmerdale star Gemma Atkinson and Aljaz Skornajec are 6/1 to take the trophy.

Then, just ahead of Ruth and Anton in the running, there’s Jonnie Peacock and Oti Mabuse, and Davood Ghadami and Nadiya Bychkova (both 20/1). While Susan Calman and Kevin Clifton are 50/1.

Mind you, after what happened to Aston last week, ANYTHING could happen!
