Becky Vardy in tears over I’m A Celeb claims – and reveals what WASN’T aired on TV

WAG recounts her tearful exit from I'm A Celeb

Rebekah Vardy received a lot of bad publicity during her time on I’m A Celebrity, with many labelling her a “bully” for her treatment of Iain Lee.

The WAG suggested that Iain – who has openly said he suffers from depression – was a “fake”.

But since leaving the show on Monday, Becky’s been defending herself, insisting that her comments were taken “out of context”.

And now, the 35-year-old has given her most candid interview yet, revealing her devastation after departing the camp and learning of the ‘bully’ accusations.

Becky told The Sun: “I cried when I found out. It seems that so many scenes weren’t aired on the show.

“The whole time, I was checking if [Iain] was OK, especially after he failed his first trial. He wouldn’t eat and I had to force him to have food.

“I questioned whether he was playing a game, as I didn’t understand how he could go from being so withdrawn and quiet to being loud and boisterous the minute the camera was on him.”

talkRADIO presenter Iain, 44, has been open about his struggle with depression, and following scenes aired on the programme in which Rebekah suggested that he was playing the sympathy card, some viewers called for her to be axed as an ambassador for mental-health charity YoungMinds.

But the mum-of-four insists that the show didn’t portray the true Rebekah.

In her exit interview on the ITV show, she said: “I’m not a bully. I had so many conversations with Iain where I tried to pick him up.

“I didn’t have a problem with him. There were no issues, there were no divides in the camp, and I was the one that if he was feeling down I tried to pick him up.”

Yesterday, Rebekah caused a bit of a hoo-ha when she swore during a live interview with Good Morning Britain.

The WAG had been chatting to Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid about her time in the jungle, and those accusations levelled at her.

But when the time came to say goodbye to the presenters, she dropped her bombshell.

Referring to comments made by online trolls about her, she quipped: “Do you want to see the resting [bleep] face?”

Despite all the negativity, somehow we think I’m A Celebrity’s going to miss her.
