Backstage drama at Loose Women as show FAILS to come on air

Fans were utterly baffled when an old episode started to play

Loose Women fans were totally confused when today’s show failed to air… and an old episode played instead.

Fans tuned into Tuesday’s installment of the ITV show were expecting to see panellists Christine Lampard, Ayda Field, Janet Street Porter and Nadia Sawalha.

But instead when This Morning ended, a voiceover could be heard saying: “Many apologies, we seem to be having a few technical problems with Loose Women today.

“Hopefully we get back to them as soon as possible.”

As a blank screen featuring just the ITV logo continued to show, the voice then said: “So now on ITV we are having a few problems with the Loose Women. Instead we will take you to another programme.”

An old episode of Loose Women then started playing.

Naturally, fans were utterly baffled about what happened.. especially as just two minutes later the old episodes of Loose Women stopped playing and the action returned to the live studio featuring today’s panel.

When the actual panel finally came out on set late and the show started, Christine explained: “We nearly weren’t coming on air there!

“The fire alarm went off literally seconds before we were supposed to come out on air and the audience all had to leave, but we are back, ladies and gentlemen!”

A tweet sent from the Loose Women account added: “We’re live and loose this Tuesday lunchtime! We managed to turn the fire alarm off!”

It was all a bit confusing for viewers who didn’t know what was going on!

But everyone was very thankful when normal business resumed!

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
