Gabby Logan causes a ‘calamity’ with her outfit while presenting World Athletics Championships

Her style didn't exactly impress viewers

| Updated:

Presenter Gabby Logan has become the second BBC presenter this week to be called out for her choice of outfit on social media.

The host was covering the World Athletics Championships on BBC2 alongside Olympic champions Jessica Ennis-Hill and Denise Lewis.

It was great to see an almost-all female panel, and it was another woman they were chatting about as Katerina Johnson-Thompson began her bid to succeed Jess as Hepthalon champion.

But viewers were distracted by something else entirely: Gabby’s blouse.

The star wore a cowgirl inspired look complete with a black bow tied at the front.

While some fans liked the outfit most thought she was off to a barn dance later – and some even compared her to Doris Day’s infamous Calamity Jane!

This comes a week after TV presenter Helen Skelton sent viewers into a frenzy when she wore a particularly slinky dress to present the Swimming World Championships.

The blonde bombshell had been hosting the action from Budapest all week alongside Rebecca Adlington and Mark Foster.

Team GB were very successful at the champs, winning seven medals, but on Sunday it was Helen and her stunning white dress that was getting all the attention.

The figure-hugging, low-cut number left little to the imagination, with its cowl neckline, sheer panels and thigh-high splits, but there was no doubt she looked absolutely gorgeous.

Helen posted a snap of her on Instagram with her colleagues, showing off her attire in all its glory. She captioned the pic: “Signing off”.

Fans on Twitter were impressed with her look. Many comments were too lewd to print, but some managed to keep it classy, simply telling her how great she looked.

Some even said she was the only reason to watch the swimming!

It’s not the first time Helen’s outfits have caused a stir. When presenting coverage of the aquatic events at the Rio Olympics last year, people were in uproar over her hemline.

They felt it was far too short for the BBC, but at the time her father, Richard Skelton, appeared on This Morning to ridicule the story saying: “This is a non-story. I’m surprised it’s made the front pages of the news.

“I thought we’d moved on from this, obviously we haven’t, she’s just out there doing a great job.”
