Tyler Brennan faces murder charge twist in Neighbours drama

Things aren't looking great for him

| Updated:

Life is about to take a devastating turn for Tyler Brennan in Neighbours – just as things were starting to look up for him.

Ain’t life cruel.

The police call on Ben for more information about the night Hamish died and, as he’s re-interviewed, he unwittingly causes a LOT of trouble for his friend, Tyler.

Oops.

Tyler becomes terrified that he’ll get sent to prison for 20 years, the maximum term for manslaughter, but Toadie is convinced he’ll only get two.

Obviously, Tyler doesn’t want to be locked up at tall so he and Piper start living as freely as possible to make the most of their time together before he gets sent down.

It’s not long before Tyler is dealt ANOTHER cruel blow though when he discovers the charge has been upgraded to MURDER.

This means he will be looking at a LOT more time behind bars.

Fans know that Tyler handed himself into the police when his biological dad’s body was found floating face down in Gary’s hot-tub.

Tyler and Hamish had been involved in a scuffle the previous night, with Tyler clocking him round the head with a garden gnome!

But did he really kill his dad by accident?

Travis Burns, who plays Tyler, recently told RadioTimes.com: “The various suspects will go in and out of the spotlight, there’s a lot of back and forth and tricking the audience. And it’s not who you think it is!”

Meanwhile, Ben is gutted to learn that his new interview might be behind the upgraded charge, and Tyler does his best to calm him down, but with a life sentence and mounting legal bills hanging over his head, it’s not that easy.

The Brennans decide to sell the boat to help cover the cost of the legal fees but Gary comes up with the idea to turn the boat into a business.

And, with it looking like Piper is getting caught up in a murder trail, will Terese get involved?
