Hollyoaks star Rob Norbury joins Emmerdale

His character is a bit of a handful

There is a familiar face heading for the Dales next week as former Hollyoaks star Rob Norbury joins the soap.

Soap fans will recognise Rob from his part as Riley Costello in Hollyoaks, a regular character in the soap from 2010 to 2012.

Rob eventually left the soap after his character was killed off after being dramatically shot by bad boy Walker in the middle of Chester Village.

Rob is set to play Victoria Barton’s new love interest as she struggles to move on from her doomed marriage to Adam.

After thinking that her husband was the one who killed Emma Barton, Victoria was shocked to discover he’s been covering for his mum, Moira, who is the real killer.

Realising he is on the run for something he didn’t do, Victoria tried to track Adam down. Sadly, it wasn’t to be and her search was fruitless.

Rob’s role in Emmerdale is a guest part, and fans can see him turn up at the Woolpack next week as his character, Leon, goes out on a date with Victoria.

But it looks like Leon is going to bring trouble to the village, and it is left to Victoria’s brother Robert to step in and save her when things go wrong.

Both Matty Barton and Diane Sugden try to warn the chef against dating Leon, knowing that he has got a reputation for being a troublemaker.

But Victoria is a woman on a mission, desperate to move on from her marriage, and their words of warning fall on deaf ears.

As the pair’s date begins, it doesn’t take long for things to get flirty and Victoria soon invites Leon back to hers.

Once back at the house, the couple kiss. But when Leon wants to take things further and Victoria refuses, things turn ugly.

Thankfully, Robert has got wind of his sister’s dodgy date and is on his way over to make sure everything is okay.
