Emmerdale’s Maya Stepney upsets the son of her lover David Metcalfe after accidentally letting slip his ex Tracy had a secret abortion.
Jacob is left devastated by the bombshell, turning on Maya and accusing her of trying to cause a rift between him and his dad’s estranged wife.
Next week viewers will see David and Maya decide to tell Jacob and her daughter Leanna about their new relationship.

But any hopes of everyone coming together as one big happy family are dashed immediately by Maya’s blabbing.
Tracy recently decided on an abortion after a one-off encounter between the separated pair as she cleaned the B&B saw her fall pregnant.
She and David had already broken up in March after discovering he had an affair with his former fiancee Leyla Harding.

But her heart was broken all the more when she found out he had swiftly moved on to woo Maya, Jacob’s teacher and also the wife of village doctor Liam Cavanagh.
Any hopes of a reconciliation ended when David – despite his brief reunion with Tracy – chose to continue getting to know Maya better.
David and Maya had initially bonded over their own marriage woes – and when Tracy found out they were still seeing each, she resolved to press ahead with divorce.
Convinced their marriage was over and not wanting to raise a baby alone, Tracy didn’t want David to know anything about the termination.
Ultimately, however, he found out in a very distressing manner as an enraged Dr Liam told David about the abortion when he went for a doctor’s appointment.
