Emmerdale fans have been watching through their fingers recently, whenever teacher Maya Stepney has been in the same room as pupil Jacob Gallagher – who also happens to be her boyfriend David’s stepson.
In what could easily be named 50 Shades of Cringe – not to mention illegal – Maya has been seen crossing the line with teenager Jacob time and time again.

It’s been a car crash waiting to happen for months as Jacob has developed feelings for his dad’s girlfriend – and she’s done very little to put him off.
And two weeks ago, the pair kissed for the first time.
While she eventually pulled away, we now know that the pair kiss AGAIN in upcoming scenes.

The inappropriate relationship between schoolteacher Maya and her lovestruck teenage pupil Jacob becomes even more disturbing next week when the pair share another illicit kiss.
This time, the kiss is initiated by Maya.
Alone, Maya asks Jacob if he’s pretending to be dating Liv to make her jealous and, when he confirms it to be true, Maya tells him she’s flattered and leans in for a kiss.
However, after the kiss, Maya realises she could be in serious hot water if the truth about her conduct is discovered…
Will she be forced to leave the Dales if her secret is exposed?
And how far will she go to protect her forbidden relationship?
During a heart to heart the following day, Maya makes it clear the kiss was a mistake and could have serious consequences for her…
She announces she will move out and end things with David if that’s what it takes – but is this all part of her plan to groom the boy and get him on side?
Show boss Jane Hudson has teased that the love triangle could lead to fireworks over the Christmas period.
She told Radio Times: “There’ll be tension over the turkey as Jacob’s feelings for Maya create more sparks than a family-sized box of crackers.”
