Emmerdale SPOILER: Charity Dingle breaks down as she confronts Zak for leaving her to be abused at 13

The Dingles summoned Charity to a family court hearing but didn't realise the depth of her pain

Charity Dingle is going to break down next week in Emmerdale when she blames her uncle Zak for the abuse she suffered as a child.

The pub landlady has been struggling to cope since her rapist DI Bails was sent to prison.

He was jailed for 30 years after holding her captive, raping her and pimping her out when she was a young teenager.

Next week the family is going to bring Charity in front of a Dingle court to confront her about her self-destructive behaviour, but she’s not going to take it.

Instead she will let loose the pain she feels and confront her uncle Zak for allowing her to be made homeless and vulnerable.

“Debs has got her hands full with Sarah, I get that, but I needed backup.

“And I shouldn’t have to ask, you lot should have known I needed you there.

“Where were you when I was 13 uncle Zak and my dad chucked me out on the street.

“What did you think was going to happen? How did you think I was going to survive?

“My dad terrorised me as a kid and you turned a blind eye. He made me give Debbie away and I swear that is what screwed me up.

“And you just stood by and let it all happen.”

Zak tried to defend himself and avoid responsibility for not helping his vulnerable niece.

He told her: “He was your father, times were different back then.”

And as Charity pointed out that they were trying to do the same to her now, she told Zak a few home truths.

She raged: “You’re as bad as him, you’re not better than him, you’re no better than any of them, you’re all the same.”
