Emmerdale SPOILER: Cain is drawn back to an old flame

Are things definitely over between Cain and Moira?

As his future with Moira Dingle looks unlikely, Cain finds himself drawn back to his other love interest, Harriet Finch.

Harriet ended things with Cain last month when news that he was the father of Moira’s newborn son came to light.

But since then, Moira has made it abundantly clear that she doesn’t want anything to do with her ex-husband.

Cain might have laid his heart on the line, telling Moira that there has never been anyone but her, but the new mum shut down his hopes of playing happy families with baby Isaac.

After telling him she didn’t want him anywhere near her, or her baby, Cain was reduced to tears.

But next week’s scenes see Cain become more involved in his son’s upbringing, after he realises Moira is struggling as a new mum.

Harriet is quick to spot that all is not well with the family though, and shares her concerns with Cain, claiming that she still cares for him as a friend.

But Cain isn’t happy about her interfering and reacts badly to her choice of words, leaving the pair more estranged than ever.

Cain soon realises that his ex is only trying to help, though, and heads off to apologise to her.

However, as the pair make up, Cain decides he isn’t happy with just being friends and pulls Harriet in for a surprise kiss.

How will she respond? And more to the point, is this really the end of Cain and Moira?

Jeff Hordley, who plays Cain, recently told Digital Spy, “I still think there’s legs in Harriet and Cain. But I still think there’s always legs in Cain and Moira too!

“I think there’s going to be more twists and turns as the months progress. I don’t think it’s going to be straightforward.”

Watch Emmerdale at 7pm every weeknight on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
