Charity Dingle has finally got justice for the terrible abuse she suffered at the hands of DI Bails.
In last night’s episode he was sentenced to 30 years in prison, and placed on the sex offenders list for the rest of his life.

But viewers are a little worried about Charity. Despite her victory, she seemed really down.
As Vanessa spoke of how they could now get on with enjoying the rest of their lives, Charity silently shed a tear.
Of course, it’s not surprise that she would be exhausted and traumatised by the trial – facing her attacker again, dredging up the awful memories of what he did to her; worrying that he would evade justice.
But is there something more troubling her?
Next week, viewers will see that Charity appears to be on a downward spiral, drinking heavily and pushing people away.

Exasperated Chas warns her to sort herself out, while Faith advises her not to throw away what she has with Vanessa.
But we all know that Charity is Queen of self-destruct… and some fans are fearful about what’s to come.
