Emmerdale: Charity Dingle’s son in danger from DI Bails

He should be "very worried"

Charity Dingle’s long lost son is in danger and should be “very worried”, actress Emma Atkins has warned.

It’s been a rollercoaster week for Charity as she relived her traumatic past during a flashback episode, where viewers saw her give birth to a son.

While Charity believed he had died tragically just minutes after being born, scenes showed that the baby had actually survived.

In another shocking twist, we also found out that the midwife who delivered the baby had adopted him when Charity failed to return to the hospital.

Thinking he had died, Charity left the hospital in tears, not knowing she was leaving her baby boy behind.

But she’s already made a crucial mistake…

Visiting the hospital in the hope of finding out more about her son, Charity was horrified when she bumped into her abuser DI Bails and his pregnant wife attending a routine appointment.

Seeing red, Charity told Bails she’d had a son by him – and that she planned to bring him to justice with her son’s DNA.

Actress Emma now reveals she made a big error telling Bails about the boy.

Speaking at a recent press day, Emma told OK! that Bails will “NOT respond well” to discovering her baby secret.

She said: “Again it’s more shock for everyone involved. Disbelief really which obviously turns into utter denial.

“Which you would do if you were in that situation because if you’d got yourself in that horrific situation to begin with, the only way out is to lie or…”

When asked if the son should be worried, her answer did not bode well for the character, saying: “Yes, I think so.”

She added: “I know that there will hopefully be some kind of culmination where there’s justice. But he does need to be very worried.”

Yikes.

Ryan Stocks is set to turn up in Emmerdale next week and will come face-to-face with his biological mum.

Actor James Moore has been cast as Charity’s 27-year-old “feisty and reckless” son, who has Ataxic Cerebral Palsy.
