The 45-year-old Sussex born star has ditched her fair hair in favour of chocolate brown tones.

And we're not jealous at all that she seems to look 10 years younger!

Unveiling her new look to her 261,000 Twitter followers, she simply wrote: "Yes I've gone darker."

It really suits you; brings out the colour in your eyes and makes you look younger.

Unsurprisingly, her fans were quick to compliment her on her transformation.

Former EastEnders cast member and Sam's friend Jo Joyner wrote: "Gorgeous lady."

While Sam's husband and fellow actor Mark Womack replied with one word: "Beautiful."

One fan wrote: "You suit it so much and omg I love your jumper!!"

Another commented: "It really suits you brings out the colour in your eyes and makes you look younger."

The actress recently revealed she had secured her first major TV role since leaving EastEnders.

She has joined the cast of BBC1's Silent Witness, opposite Emilia Fox.

Her new role will see her playing Detective Inspector Ashton, a love interest for Jack Hodgson.

Sam played alter-ego Ronnie for a decade, until she was controversially killed off on her wedding day to Jack Branning as he read a bedtime story to her children.

Ronnie and sister Roxy drowned in a hotel swimming pool on New Year's Day 2017, a move which Samantha later criticised as a "short-sighted" decision.
