Stuart Highway continues to play his twisted games with the Carter family next week as they continue to try to get him out of their lives.

As the week kicks off the clan are left unsettled when they find a note inside the pub.

Stuart’s brother Halfway identifies the writing as Stuart’s and the Carters realise with horror that the twisted villain has been in the pub.

They decide to keep it from Tina, who Stuart recently admitted to subjecting to a horrific attack in their past, but at the last minute Mick suggests they get away for a mini break in Southend.

As Tina, Mick and Linda all head off for their break, Shirley and Halfway try to arrange a meeting with Stuart.

But later they get a message from him which leads Halfway to fear that Stuart has taken his own life.

The pair head off to his flat, but what will they find when they get there?

Shirley and Halfway are rattled when they find the flat completely empty and Halfway sets off determined to find him.

Meanwhile Shirley stays put in the flat and has a look through Stuart’s photo albums, but what will she find?

When Halfway returns, he insists on staying in the flat and waiting for his brother, while Shirley returns to the Square where she tries to talk some sense into Whitney, insisting that Halfway needs her.

Does she know something that Whitney doesn’t? Could Halfway be in danger for choosing the Carters over him?

EastEnders star Tony Clay recently revealed that his character Halfway is led down a very dangerous path by his brother.

The actor, who returned to the soap as likeable Callum ‘Halfway’ Highway earlier this year, admits that he would get dragged into Stuart’s mission to track down sexual predators.

Stuart followed his younger brother to Walford, but some fans haven’t warmed to the mysterious character – suspecting him of being a bully and aggressive.

When old friend Mick Carter found photos of young girls on Stuart’s phone, a shocked Mick suspected his pal of foul play and reported him to the police.

However Stuart soon confessed the truth – he’s a vigilante paedophile hunter.

And Tony revealed that impressionable younger brother Halfway will soon become embroiled in Stuart’s dangerous ‘work’.

The relationship between Halfway and Stuart is unusually fraught, and viewers have noticed that Halfway seems afraid of his sibling.

Tony told the Radio Times: “Viewers will see how manipulative Stuart is and how easily Halfway is persuaded to help.

“It’s interesting to see how both Halfway and Mick get drawn in by Stuart and how he changes them both.”

Tony added: “You’ll definitely see a more serious side to Halfway. We’ll see just how desperate he is to get his brother’s validation and respect.

“He knows this isn’t really him, but feels like he has to get involved.”
