EastEnders SPOILER: Exit plan for Rainie next week

Is this the end for Rainie and Max?

| Updated:

EastEnders’ Rainie Branning will pack her bags and prepare to leave Walford as her sham marriage to Max hits the rocks.

Despite the fact the couple tied the knot as part of a business plan to help Max get custody of granddaughter Abi Branning, it seems there are growing feelings between the pair as they start to fall for each other for real.

But their romance takes a turn for the worse in upcoming scenes tonight when Rainie discovers Max has told his brother Jack about their marriage being fake and she’s devastated.

Convinced that his confession means that she’s misread the signs and he doesn’t have any real feelings for her after all, Rainie takes this as her cue to leave the Square and starts to pack her bags.

Luckily Max’s old flame Stacey sees the commotion and decides to intervene.

Knowing Max better than anyone, will she be able to talk some sense into her ex and get him to realise his true feelings for his wife?

Max tries to apologise to Rainie, but she thinks things are over and is ready to leave.

And if he does change his mind, will he be able to stop Rainie leaving before it’s too late?

Tanya Franks, who plays Rainie, appears on Lorraine today and warned that there would be no happy ever after, at least not anytime soon.

“There could well be some rocky roads very, very soon,” she said.

EastEnders will air these scenes on tonight and tomorrow.

EastEnders airs Monday and Friday at 8pm and Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
