EastEnders’ Alfie Moon will return to the Square next week, much to the shock of estranged wife, Kat.
But with secrets and lies surrounding his comeback, is it set to be a happy ever after for these two?
Kat’s been desperately missing her boys, who have stayed in Spain with their dad, Alfie.

Alfie made a brief return earlier this year when it was revealed he’s the father of Hayley Slater’s baby. But Kat doesn’t know this – and neither does he because he thought Hayley had a termination.
Kat has been throwing herself into helping Hayley while trying to take her mind off her own motherhood woes. But seeing Hayley and her daughter together gets Kat thinking.
She’s left surprised when Alfie video calls her and asks for a favour. What is he after?
Kat has no idea what to do, but she’s also distracted by the fact Hayley has a meeting with the social worker and Kat knows she needs all her support.
As Alfie continually calls her, Kat ignores him to be there for a nervous Hayley during the meeting. Kat’s help gives Hayley to confidence to fight her corner, and Kat knows she’s done the right thing.
But she also knows she has to face Alfie sooner or later and calling him back she agrees to meet him.
After following his instructions, she arrives at a hall with no idea why shes there, and she’s left shocked to find him waiting for her – but heartbroken to realise he’s all alone.
Alfie reveals the boys are still in Spain and a furious Kat can’t control her emotions, breaking down in tears.
As her estranged husband desperately tries to explain himself, Kat doesn’t want to hear it.
Eventually she makes a big decision – is she going to help Alfie or leave him to fend for himself? And what is it that he wants after all this time?

Alfie’s return was confirmed earlier this year after he was revealed as the father of Hayley’s baby. Only Hayley and Jean know its his and so far Jean has kept quiet, knowing Kat would go off the deep end if she found out.
Kat’s been very involved with helping Hayley deal with her fears over motherhood, even taking on Hayley’s mum Bev to protect her cousin.
But if she knew the truth, we don’t think she’d be quite so warm to Hayley or Alfie.
And what about her own kids? Kat’s desperate to be reunited with them – does Alfie’s return make this a possibility at last?
