Stuart Highway was down but not out after being shot in The Queen Vic this week…
Following a campaign of terror against the Carter family, dramatic scenes saw the villain lying on the floor gasping for breath after taking a bullet in the abdomen.
But who pulled the trigger?

As EastEnders kicked off a ‘whodunnit’ storyline on Tuesday (4 September), fans were led to believe that Linda Carter had shot the bully.
But is the pub landlady REALLY behind the attack?
The week kicked off dramatically with a shot ringing out on Monday night, and Tuesday’s episode revealed that Stuart was the ‘victim’.
Poor Halfway was the only person upset when he discovered his brother bleeding to death in the basement of the pub.

Initially, it looked as if Mick had fatally hurt Stuart but he was missing during the time of the shooting, and he even contemplated finishing Stuart off once and for all by trying to suffocate him with his hand.
But then, after Whitney announced that both the police and ambulances were coming, it was Linda who rushed to retrieve the gun stashed under the bar and headed to the canal to destroy the evidence.
Wiping the gun clean, she threw the gun in the murky water – not realising Keanu Taylor (lurking in the bushes) witnessed the whole thing.
One fan exclaimed: “Linda did it!”

A third typed: “I think Linda shot Stuart. She’d do anything to protect her boys.”
One more added: “Didn’t think Linda had it in her to shoot someone let alone Stuart that gun won’t stay in the canal for long Keanu already knows something is suspicious he watched her drop it getting rid of the weapon.”
But was Linda actually responsible for shooting Stuart? Or is she covering for someone else?
And what will Keanu do with the explosive information he has?
By the end of the week, an arrest is made. But something tells us that won’t be the end of the ordeal. After all, Stuart IS still alive…
