Carla, Kate and Jenny claim that they didn’t want to bother Johnny so close to Aidan’s funeral, but he is furious with them all.

And it’s not just Johnny’s wrath the women are feeling, Alya accuses them of trying to screw her over and tells them she is going to be fighting them all the way for her factory.

Adam tells Johnny that the plan was to contest Aidan’s will and claim he wasn’t of a sound mind when he wrote it, but the grieving dad is adamant that they must accept Aidan’s final wishes and there’s nothing more to it.

Cross that his family have been lying to him, he bans Jenny from Aidan’s funeral – telling her she is no longer welcome.

As the day of the funeral arrives, Alya tells the Connors she will be attending as Aidan’s friend and business partner.

Carla sends her packing, but she might live to regret her decision when Alya uses the fact they’re all at the funeral to seize the moment and change the locks on the factory doors.

Offering Alya 18% of the factory because that is what Aidan owned before she gifted the rest of it to him, Carla hopes she’s got herself a deal. But will Alya agree?

Meanwhile, the new factory boss is finding it hard to keep the workers in order, and when they boycott the huge order they have got to get out in favour of supporting an outed Fiz, will Alya be able to get her team back on side and get the order done in time?

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
