Shayne Ward has a moody new post-Corrie look

Star is giving off seriously intense vibes

Shayne Ward has made a few tweaks to his appearance in the wake of his Coronation Street exit.

The 33-year-old has had a little snip and a little snip there – but not so much of a shave – leaving him with a different post-soap look.

Having shaved the sides of his head rather short, the former X factor winner has made up for it by letting his beard grow out.

And if the black and white image shared with his 281,000 Instagram followers is anything to go by, he’s giving off a moodier vibe, too.

He captioned the pic: “The difference between the IMPOSSIBLE and the POSSIBLE lies in a man’s determination.”

Sounds a bit intense. Not the typical kind of chat you’d bring up with your barber, either. Maybe he’s not talking about the new hairdo.

However, he did have a heavy few last months on the set of the ITV soap after his character donated a kidney to his sister, saw the end of his relationship with his true love and ultimately took his own life.

Shayne made his last appearance on Corrie earlier this month in an interview scene recorded by a student while Aidan was in hospital.

The DVD recording was passed onto new factory owner Alya Nazir who was swayed to sell her shares in Underworld back to the Connor family.

No wonder Shayne – nominated for a ‘Showstopper’ gong at the Inside Soap Awards – is keen on breaking away from looking like his former soap character.

And at least he seems to have got away from that short-lived ‘hat’ phase…

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV
