Sarah Platt is going to face a massive shock in Coronation Street after she attacks Ryan Connor.
Actress Tina O’Brien has teased the ‘game-changing shock’ after the Underworld PA confesses to being responsible for assaulting him.
Next week Ryan will go on a date with Sarah’s daughter Bethany but it won’t go very well.
With Bethany having gone through hell with her grooming abuser Nathan Curtis, she’s understandably worried about a date.
But Ryan doesn’t know any of her past so when he invites her back to the flat and moves in to kiss her, she panics and runs off.

Tina explains: “Sarah doesn’t know anything about the date so the first thing she sees when she arrives at Victoria Court is Bethany running down the hallway out of the flats with her blouse undone.”
Asked about how Sarah reacts, Tina explains she goes onto auto-pilot and fears the worst.
She added: “She doesn’t get chance Bethany is hysterical and then the next thing she sees is Ryan coming out of the flat with his top off and Bethany runs off.
“She jumps to the obvious conclusion that Ryan has tried to force himself on Bethany, she doesn’t realise that it was Bethany who panicked and ran off.”
Sarah then decides to confront Ryan about what she thinks he had done and the two have a furious row.
“She does go into the flat and confront him about what just happened.
“He is confused by it all and when he calls Bethany a tease Sarah sees red and she slaps him and shoves him.
“What she or Ryan don’t realise is that he has hit his head quite badly.
“The first she knows is when they see Ryan being brought out of Victoria court on a stretcher, Craig assumes Bethany must have hit him but she insists she didn’t.

“Sarah can’t understand how her slapping him could have resulted in those injuries so she is confused.”
But when she goes to the hospital to see if he’s OK, Sarah decides to confess why she acted as she did.
Tina teased: “It is a real game changer for Sarah.”
