Coronation Street has given the first hint about Peter Barlow and Carla Connor’s romantic reunion.
The former couple were bitterly divorced until Eva Price and Toyah Battersby’s baby plan for Susie was revealed, devastating both Peter and Carla’s family.
But now it seems they have put all their differences aside.
In a spoiler scene revealed by the ITV soap, the pair will share a romantic dinner together and sparks definitely fly.
“I’m really sorry for what this must have done to you,” Carla tells Peter.

“That day when you came to tell me, I don’t think I can remember ever seeing you in such a state sober.”
“I’m glad you came to me,” she adds.
“And even if you were offloading, it doesn’t matter, does it?”
She adds: “I know what it’s like. When you hit rock bottom you need all the friends you can get, don’t you?”
It was recently revealed how Peter will help Carla win back the factory from Alya Nazir.
Viewers have watched as Alya changed the locks on the factory during Aidan’s funeral and took full control of the business.
But as Carla vowed to fight Alya in court for her legacy, according to the Daily Star Sunday things won’t go her way.
A source told the newspaper: “The Connors are still grieving for Aidan and are in a desperate situation where the business is concerned.
“Carla is at her wits end when Peter comes up with a solution.

“He knows he can end the knicker factory war and is more than happy to help.”The plan could pave the way for a romantic reunion for the former couple.
But with Ben Price’s Nick Tilsley returning later this year, could this spark another love triangle on the cobbles?
