Corrie Spoiler: Toyah attacks Nick

It's not really the comeback he was hoping for

If Nick Tilsley thought returning to Weatherfield after walking out on Leanne and his family was a good idea, he’ll probably be rethinking that by next week.

Not only does he immediately lock horns with his mum, David and Sarah on his return, but he also manages to rub Toyah Battersby up the wrong way too.

After getting an ear bashing from Gail, Nick heads off to talk to Leanne promising his mum he’ll come back to No.8 later.

But when Toyah sees Nick talking to Leanne she’s horrified and doesn’t hold back her thoughts.

She rounds on him, accusing him of leaving her sister in the lurch when he needed her most. What will Nick say?

Meanwhile it’s not just Toyah who’s unhappy to see Nick back on the cobbles.

Peter Barlow is less than thrilled to learn his old love rival is back in town and wonders what’s going on.

Carla Connor – who was briefly married to Nick before she left Manchester in 2016 – is also stunned when she spies her ex getting into his car.

But it’s David who’s most angry with his brother for not being around when he was going through hell after being raped by Josh Tucker.

When Gail tells Nick that David spent time in prison for attacking in the aftermath of the assault, Nick feels suitably bad.

He tries to make amends with his brother but David isn’t feeling forgiving and tells Nick he wants nothing more to do with him.

Meanwhile Nick maintains that he’s returned to get back together with Leanne.

And we were so convinced that Carla was his true soul mate!

He left more than a year ago after being devastated when his family life with Leanne Battersby fell apart.

The couple had been raising baby Olly together as parents, hiding the truth that Steve McDonald was his biological father.

Their happy secret was blown apart when Steve, overcome with guilt, revealed the truth to his wife Michelle.

A typical soap explosive storyline followed with Nick almost dying in quicksand.

He soon realised that he had to leave Weatherfield for his own sanity and promptly flogged his remaining share of the Bistro to Robert Preston.

A low key exit followed as Nick moved away to begin a new life.

It was announced that Ben Price would be reprising his role as the former Bistro owner in the summer.
