Coronation Street bosses learnt a very important lesson this week – don’t try to pull the wool over the eyes of your fans…
Eagle-eyed ITV viewers believe they spotted a glaring error in Monday night’s episode (5 November) – but luckily they saw the funny side.

The offending scenes saw Kate Connor attempt to meet girlfriend Rana Nazir at the ferry port after her recent cruise with her bereaved mum.
Kate was seen arriving at the “cruise liner dock” to surprise Rana, but not everyone was convinced by the location…
In fact, some fans even believed the setting was actually “the back of ITV Studios at Salford Quays plus a bloke in a donkey jacket and flat cap”.

To make the scenes more realistic, viewers could hear the cry of seagulls over the water – probably a canal, though, rather than the actual sea…
A few posters also helped disguise the car park – but fans weren’t fooled.
Others agreed that the international ferry terminal looked more like a car park, with one saying: “Now Kate is at a ferry car park – which coincidentally also looks like the back of Media City…”

A third added: “Wow they really went all out on location shooting didn’t they.. filmed in the carpark.”
Fans of the show will know that Media City car park is just metres away from where the ITV soap is filmed.
At least actress Faye Brookes didn’t have to travel far to find her car after a long day’s filming!
While Kate missed Rana at the alleged ferry terminal, the pair did eventually reunite.
Together again at last, the pair both produced rings for each other in a bid to propose.
