And they won’t be alone as while Carla goes through the applications, she finds one who looks spookily similar to Tina McIntyre, the barmaid Peter cheated on her with while they were married.

Corrie fans will remember that Peter was smitten with the raven-haired beauty played by Michelle Keegan until she was murdered by Carla’s brother Rob in 2014.

Following revelations that Peter had been sleeping with Tina, his marriage to Carla fell apart, eventually forcing him to leave Weatherfield for a fresh start.

When Carla checks out the new applicants profiles online and she spots Tina lookalike Carina, she forms a little plan to test if Peter has changed as much as he claims.

She innocently asks Peter to attend the interviews and Michelle is shocked when she sees Carina and realises she’s the spitting image of Tina.

Meanwhile Carla watches intently as Peter questions Carina. Will Peter pass the test?

It was revealed earlier this month that Peter’s old mistakes would come back to haunt him in the shape of Tina.

Peter recently helped Carla out by when he offering to become her business partner and buy Aidan Connor’s share of the factory from Alya Nazir.

And Corrie fans were delighted when the pair shared a snog in the factory as Carla poured her heart out about Aidan.

After this Carla comes up with a test to see if he’s being honest – after all she doesn’t want to make the same mistake twice.

Chris Gascoyne, who plays Peter, told What’s On TV: “When interviewing for a new machinist, Carla is struck by how much like Tina one of the applicants is.

“She decides to let Peter interview her and see how he handles it. She is testing whether or not he has changed. But will he pass the test? You’ll have to wait and see!

“Peter is older and wiser, and maybe not as impulsive as he once was. He is going to prove that he can help run the business successfully, and then see what follows.

“But with Nick Tilsley about to arrive back on the scene, anything could happen!”

Will Peter pass with flying colours? Or can cheaters never change their spots?
