While Imran is just having fun with the two sisters, who both say they don’t want anything serious, it’s all about to backfire when they find out he’s been two-timing them!

While Leanne and Imran have become close of late, this week Imran finds himself drawn to sister Toyah – and the pair also end up in bed.

Although he mistakenly believes – or chooses to believe – that the siblings know about one another, he gets a shock when the pair decide to get revenge on him.

We wouldn’t want to be in his shoes!

Actresses Georgia Taylor and Jane Danson first arrived on the cobbles as Toyah and Leanne respectively 21 years ago.

Appearing on ITV’s Lorraine on Thursday (6 September), Jane said of the love triangle storyline: “It’s quite fun. They both don’t know that they are seeing him at the same time.

“He’s quite a dish though – so it’s alright. They are both feeling quite happy…

“It’s not the reaction you would have expected from Leanne and Toyah.”

Talking of their on-screen relationship – and real life friendship – Jane said: “From the start, it kind of went off with a bit of a bang and it’s carried on ever since… [It was] life changing for us, amazing.

“It doesn’t feel like work when you’ve your best friend next to you. We know each other so well it’s just easy, if one of us is upset about something the other picks the other one up.

“We’ve always had that relationship from day one. It’s great to have her back.”

Georgia, who returned to the soap in 2016 after departing in 2003, said Jane was a crucial part of her decision to go back to Weatherfield.

She said: “I’ve got to say I wouldn’t have come back if you weren’t there, definitely that was such a big factor for me.

“I knew I had my pal there and that it was going to be fine. My first day back was bed scenes with Chris Gascoyne [who plays Peter Barlow], that was my first day in a hotel in Manchester just in bed with Chris all day!

“I was like, ‘Right this is a baptism of fire’, but it’s good and it kind of breaks the ice. Then you just get on with it.

“There are so many faces, a lot of the crew are the same, so it’s really nice.”

A love rat? Or just a miscommunication? (Credit: ITV)

As the sisters prepare to teach Imran a lesson, actor Charlie de Melo – who plays Imran – recently insisted that his character is NOT a love rat.

He said: “He’s not set out to have his cake and eat it, but at the same time that is how things have happened.

“But it’s all miscommunication – Imran assumes they are both OK with it, which is naive to the point of stupidity. But he thinks he’s hit the jackpot.

“He is not a love-rat – that was something I was keen to avoid because there is not that mean-spirited, nastiness and menace to what he is doing.”

In real life, Charlie is dating former co-star Nicola Thorp.
