There’s a cloud overshadowing over Daniel and Sinead’s Christmas this year as the possibility that this could be their last together hangs over them.
Daniel and Sinead have been through some of the toughest months they’ll ever face recently. From the high of their wedding day to the low of finding out that Sinead’s cancer had spread recently, they really have been pushed to the limit.
Not only is pregnant Sinead battling cancer, but she is also behind on her treatment after skipping her chemo sessions after believing that it could harm her unborn baby.

Instead Sinead decided to use alternative treatments for her cancer like eating a different diet.
After speaking to a new friend – and fellow cancer sufferer – Steff, Sinead decided to secretly avoid conventional treatment, something that she definitely regretted when Steff sadly died recently.
So while the pair decide to paint a smile on their faces this Christmas in an attempt to put their worries aside for the day, in the back of both their minds there is the worry that next year is set to get tougher than ever.
Determined to make this the best Christmas Sinead has ever had, Daniel decides to host a huge family Christmas and, to make it even more perfect, it’s going to be vegan in support of Sinead’s new healthy life choices.
Although its unlikely anyone is looking forward to the lack of turkey over at the Barlows’, Adam, Ken, Peter, Beth, Kirk and Craig all gather around to celebrate Christmas together.
But it’s Ken who has got the entertainment covered when he produces a set of handbells and announces they’ll be making their own music for the day…!

However the perfect day soon turns sour when heartbroken Sinead overhears Daniel confiding in Peter that he’s worried that Sinead is going to die.
Will she confront Daniel and talk about how he is feeling, or is this set to become a new stumbling block in their relationship?
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday 24th and Tuesday 25th December on ITV.
