Angie Appleton will be questioned by police next week on Coronation Street.
The accountant is going to be cornered by the authorities when her mother in law Mary Taylor becomes convinced an awful fate has befallen her son Jude.
Viewers watched Jude flee Weatherfield after his multiple lies were exposed and he had assaulted his mother Mary.
He tried to kidnap his own son George, but Roy Cropper convinced him to hand the baby over before leaving on the tram.
However with Jude leaving, Mary has become convinced he has been murdered or has killed himself.

And so when she phones the police, it summons them to Angie’s door.
Walking into Adam Barlow’s office, the policewoman tells her: “Your mother-in-law gave me your details.
“She seems to think your husband might have come to some harm given his state of mind.”
But Angie gives them short-shrift and isn’t concerned in the slightest about what has happened to Jude.
She tells the police officer not to worry adding her reasoning, saying: “Well, he’s a compulsive liar.
“He led me to believe he was a marine biologist for the first few years of our relationship when in actual fact it was just a passing interest in tropical fish.”
And when the police ask how Jude managed his scheme, Angie admits she’s stumped, saying: “I’ve asked myself the same question a million times.
“Turns out he was up to his eyeballs in debt trying to keep all the plates spinning. Then he wiped out our savings, fleeced our friend and that was after he pretended to save his life.”
But then she puts herself in the frame for Jude’s murder by admitting their relationship was “not great”.

She adds: “The marriage was dead and he knew that. Jude doesn’t know what the edge is. He sees what he wants to see and if reality doesn’t conform to that then he runs away.
“Believe me that’s exactly what he’s done now.”
