Love Island star Tyla Carr has given birth to her first child just hours after revealing how excited she was about her impending parenthood.

The 25-year-old, who became pregnant after a whirlwind romance, is said to be “over the moon” about becoming a first time mum.

A source told The Sun Online: “Mum and baby are well and Tyla is over the moon.”

A representative for Tyla confirmed to OK! Magazine that she’s welcomed her first child, though the gender has not yet been revealed.

Tyla has yet to announce the news on social media.

ED! has contacted representatives for Tyla for further comment.

Tyla, who dated Jonny Mitchell when she was on the reality show, became pregnant after only dating Ross for a few months, although the pair had known each other as friends for nine years.

Before going in to labour, Tyla shared a snap of her and her boyfriend and wrote a long post about her excitement at becoming a mum.

Mummy & Daddy! Wow 🙄 Still doesn’t feel like there will be a baby here soon! I look at my belly and I know there is a baby in there, but I can’t seem to imagine a real life mini us?! When does that feeling sink in? Anyway, I just have to give this man @rossco188 some credit. He has been amazing, completely there for me the whole time, even if it’s to tell me to stop being such a worrier or to tell me off for doing too much cleaning… 😅😂 (He will laugh at that because he cleans more than me) but I can’t tell you how excited I am to see him be a father. We both came from broken families and it makes us so much more determined to try and give our baby the best possible start in life. We already love this baby so much and can’t wait to meet s/he 💖💙 #baby #pregnancy #couple #mumanddad #newmum #newdad

Tyla, who found fame on the third series of Love Island, previously revealed that she found out she was pregnant after taking a pregnancy test in the toilets at a branch of Nandos because she couldn’t wait until she got home.

However, her pregnancy hasn’t been smooth sailing.

Opening up about how tough her high-risk pregnancy has been she revealed on Instagram: “Normally baby’s head would be engaging or have already engaged, but because mine is still breech and it’s growing, it’s leaving me no room left to breathe.

“I’m even more uncomfortable than I’ve ever been and all I’ve done the last few days is cry about it and moan. My poor boyfriend.”
